Monday preparation #2: what's my focus this week?
Last week I wrote a simple prep post here, figuring it could turn into a ritual if I keep up with it. The idea: lay out what I'm working on for the week, then close it out with a Friday post. Simple loop. Let's see if it sticks.
This week won't look much different from last week. I'm close to finishing the audit of my docs editor and SaaS. I've made nearly every change, fixed every bug, and improved every detail I could find worth improving.

I'm on the last stretch of the private workspace part. Once that's done, I can finally move to rebuilding that Mac app. My estimate was right. It's taking longer than a week. I didn't touch code over the weekend either. I called a hard stop on that on purpose.

Content-wise, I'm still ahead and managing to stay that way. I wrote two blog posts for the Indie Hacker blog this weekend, which keeps me covered until October 30.

I think I'll try to finish out the entire year before this month ends. That would cut my workflow down a lot and let me shift over to my blog about life in Taiwan, which also needs three more posts to fill out its year.
I set the pace on purpose: two posts a month for indiehacker.blog, one a month for pieter.tw. That pace is currently sustainable for me, especially with podcast recording pulling at the same hours.
I also finished writing two more blog posts for my SaaS. That stays steady. I publish twice a week there, aiming for a 44-post archive before I start on Pinterest and go properly aggressive with marketing.

TWO Docs
For TWO Docs specifically, I think I need about two more days to finish the private workspace area. That should hold.
If everything goes to plan, I can do a final check on Wednesday, then step away from building it for a bit. Next comes note-taking and research into rebuilding the Mac app, because my first attempt at vibe coding it needs a full reset.

On the surface, not much looks different. I didn't add many features. But the current build I ended up with is worthless. It doesn't do the improved version of the product any good.
Idea Bench
I also launched Idea Bench this week. My opening entry is a simple project called Random Facts. I think I can get an MVP built this week too, and document how far I got by the end of the week. I'll probably launch it on Netlify.
I've been looking at Vercel alternatives to reduce my single points of failure, and a clean, no-risk project like this is the best way to test a new platform.
I already have a design in mind for this one. I'm just hoping Claude doesn't disappoint me here, because I will get tilted if it ignores what I actually want and tries to iterate 119 times without listening.

Everything else
I checked my Pinterest schedule, and I'm still good for nine days out. I'll probably add a few more scheduled pins this week anyway, just to keep the buffer full so I don't have to think about it.

Once the SaaS build wraps up, probably Wednesday or Thursday, I can knock out a few of the menial tasks that pile up if you ignore them for too long.
I think it's also time to plan my EchoRoom content for the week. I haven't had the brain space for it yet.
My focus has been on building, and I had to first figure out how to manage all my podcast channels. Mapping that out in a mind map made it a lot clearer.

Put together, this week should be a healthy balance of working, building, creative work, making thumbnails, and spending more time on podcast strategy.
Maybe that means less writing here on my personal blog. I'm also in the middle of moving between two homes, which I haven't mentioned much, but it's a real fucking chore. My deadline to be fully out of the old place is September 30th.
Even so, I've written over 36 blog posts this month so far, I think, so I don't feel like I'm short on content in September at all.
I did say I'd launch EchoRoom in September, so I'm still planning to record my introduction episode this week and adjust the current schedule a bit. Right now the open schedule just says "September," which was set a long time ago and needs an update.

I don't think anyone's really waiting on this. Nobody's checking for it. But I'm happy with it anyway, mostly because I've managed to keep my discipline and stay on schedule the whole way through.
